When I read the departed Imam’s [Khomeini] letter that was also without a date I was deeply saddened. My son-in-law, Mr. Seyed Hadi , was present too, and he told me that now that Imam has finalized his words in a letter, it would not be right to say something [in refute, or as an objection.] I replied: “How could it be not right?” When a man has been sentenced to two to three years in prison based on the interpretation of Judge from his crimes, now we can’t send him to his death just because (s)he remained faithful to their ideology.

Dear students – I am glad that I can talk to you once more and I send my warmest regards. This is not the first time that I am in your presence although I would like to be among you instead of talking to you through a video message. God willing, that will truly happen someday. This gathering is being held while our country is in dire straits. Under these circumstances, the students are faced with great challenges. However, based on the tidings of the Almighty, I am certain and hopeful that “with every difficulty there will be relief” [1]. God willing, the current problems will come to a satisfactory and expedient end by means of the people’s efforts.

Representatives of a group of reformist parties in Fars province met with Mir Hossein Mousavi for the anniversary of martyrdom of Ayatollah Dastgheib [the father] and recommitted themselves to the ideals of the martyrdom and revolution.
Accroding to Rahesabz, in this meeting Mir Hossein Mousavi highlighted the role of Ayatollah Dastgheib and said: “We lost great many faces during the revolution, it was destined to be this way that great men like Ayatollahs Madani, Dastgheib and Sadoughi and other martyrs who were martyred during their prayers departed from among us. Though their martyrdom was a great tragedy, continuity in the path of Revolution is indebted to their blood.”
Mousavi specially praised Ayatollah Seyed Ali Mohammad Dastgheib [the son] and said: “In this time where lack of media is a significant disadvantage [for us], it is great that people can hear the words of truth from a source of immolation [1]. This is something for which we are very grateful. We expect nothing from other Marjas[1];other than to share what they find as the truth of the matters with people.”

Date: Friday, December 11, 2009

In his first official interview after the elections with Islamic Republic Daily, Mir Hossein Mousavi recognized tearing up the picture of Imam [Khoemini] as a very suspicious incident and an as against the values [of the Islamic Revolution.]
In response to the question regarding tearing up the picture of Imam [Khomeini] and the display of this action from Islamic Republic Broadcasting and foreign media, Mousavi said: “Honorable Imam Khomeini is the same person who revived religion in this recent century, a great symbol of justice for all nations for resistance against oppressors. All nations, specially the Muslim nations and the Iranians are great debt to him. Certainly, no just or devout person would bring himself to commit such disrespect to his picture.”
Mir Hossein Mousavi added: “Those who even distantly sympathize with me would never allow disrespect to the honorable Imam Khomeini. They view maintaining his respect as essential. I am confident that university students would never commit such and act transubstantiation because we all … Continue Reading

Mousavi’s 16th Statement: The Commemoration of Azar 16th

Source: Kaleme.com
Date: Saturday, December 6th 2009

In the name of God, the Compassionate and the Merciful

I congratulate the coming anniversary of Eid Ghadeer [1] to the Muslim nation of Iran. I pray the Great God to help us get our nation and all the Muslims around the world closer to the ideals of the person [Imam Ali] who the Ghadeer occasion belongs to. In this time of celebration, the Shiite wishes wellbeing and prosperity for one another and ask each other for gifts that would help them accomplish such wishes. They wish for a fine destiny for our nation and country especially in these crisis stricken times. It is expected from us to commit to the same action. It was still our duty to fulfill the wish [of putting our nation onto a path to a find destiny] even if this expectation did not exist. What we can do in this regards is to maintain loyalty in looking for the good [of our nation even when it is not accepted as is] and persistence in thinking for the future [of our nation even when it is not called as such.] Dangers ahead are too serious to let us or others think of our own interests, and the realities we face are too severe to disappear through ignorance. With the help of the ambiance of elegance that the Eid has provided in addition to the anniversary of 16th of Azar (December 7) as the day of University Students, no topic would be better to talk about other than a solution to our current crisis; a solution that is not necessarily bitter to swallow if we put away our prejudgments.
