  3. Texas Republic JCR says:

The citizens of Texas salute you in your struggle against tyranny. We are not muslim, yet we understand that freedom is a basic human right of all people everywhere. Your struggle is maturing and ours is in its infancy. We can learn from your methods and pray for your success in achieving freedom for all of the people of Iran. In the event it becomes necessary to abandon non violence, we wish to offer our support. Those at the local level who enforce the tyranny must be made to realize that actions have consequences. They must begin to think about what would become of them once your revolution is completed. Do they wish to be remembered as traitors to the cause of freedom and human dignity? Without the local enforcement, there is no enforcement. After your success, remember us as we follow and break from the ungodly and anti democratic power of Washington DC.

We are melting this iceberg from every direction. The winter may end much sooner than we would have thought this time last year. Wherever you look, hope is seen, and heard and smelled. This means that the smell of spring will here soon. Let’s believe in the spring.

Mehdi Jami on Mousavi’s 17th Statement: Mousavi’s Statement on the Day of Ashura – The Last Option Before Collapse

January 20, 2010

Mousavi is committed to the constitution and its unrealized capacities. He does not intent to carry out a revolution. If this suggestion is not implemented, there would be no other scenario but subversion of the system. His proposal [to the crisis] like any other proposal is a win-win unless the opposite side plays the win-lose game.

Farrokh Negahdar on Mousavi’s 17th Statement: Relevance

January 19, 2010

There are many who have the same understanding as Mousavi. but these men, despite their better understanding, cannot wash away the fear from their faces and their minds. The secret of Mousavi’s power is that he is aware that he has “the trust of the nation.” Dr. Mosadegh had this awareness too, so did Ayatollah Khomeini. All three men came to feel and know that “I have the heart of the nation in my fist; Hopes of silent people is my support.”
