Statement of Mojahedin of Islamic Revolution Organization on occasion of the eleventh anniversary of Islamic Participation Front formation:
In the name of god
We greet, fifth of Azar, the anniversary of establishment of Islamic Iran Participation Front, to leaders, members and supporters of this party.
Surely, one of the greatest achievements of the bright 8-year period which was known in our country as the reform period was the growth and deepening of democratic relations, among which institutionalization and political partisanship culture has a high and lofty place.
In this period, regardless of all created obstacles and oppositions and also efforts of theorists which called the institution of party evil and in contradiction with relations of religious community, the resistance shown by reformists especially those in the parties who combated these degenerated thoughts during this bright contemporary period in which new leader attempted to destruct the institution of party and political partisanship using all legal and illegal means possible, resulted in strength of roots of culture of political participation in the society such that its destruction and disposal became impossible.
Meanwhile, undoubtedly, “Islamic Iran Participation Front” as the most comprehensive political organization of reform period, played a significant role in this great achievement. The participation front was one of the centers which in the tumultuous reform period defended the reform culture, legal freedoms of citizens, the freedom of independent newspapers and free election with fortitude and resisted threats and obstacles made against all of these by enemies of the republic of the system with all its power. It also strengthened foundations of a people-oriented political organization that is faithful to religious spiritual government and also upholds freedom and justice. [Islamic Iran Participation Front] also carries the honor of proposing the principal [reformist] slogan, “Iran for all Iranians”. The slogan that these days, has found many supporters in other political wings of the country.
The record of participation front, in the years following the reform movement, has been sound and defensible. At a time when the sense of malice and revenge of new leaders regarding whatever and whoever addressed the proud period of reform, is considered one of the main axes of management, this political organization has firmly and patiently tolerated all immoralities and pressures, and kept the flag of freedom and political participation, raised.
The aftermath of the recent presidential elections, which brought the pioneers of reform and right seeking arena to the attention of hostiles, was another proof for the measure of faith and persistence of participation front on their announced goals and visions. In a situation where tens of members of this party, have been arrested without any legal justification, and even their central office has been closed down against standing legislation, they are still carrying the torch of honesty and cooperation, encouraging those who seek justice and liberty.
Mojahedin of Iran Islamic Revolution organization, would like to congratulate the arrival of the eleventh anniversary of establishment of Islamic Iran Participation Front, admire the resistance of their brothers and sisters on that organization and invoke their increasing success from God. Also, would like to take this opportunity to show respect to our imprisoned and devoted brother, Dr. Mohsen Mirdamadi, the dear general secretary of the party and his other imprisoned entourages,
sisters and brothers, Mohsen Safaee Farahani, Davood Soleimani, Kianoosh Rad, Azar Mansouri, … and request their immediate release.
