I wish for governance of people, denial of outsiders’ interference, and insiders’ despotism. I wish for health and prosperity of this nation, for the greatness of Iran, development of our country. I wish for rise of pride for Islam and enactment of its rules. I don’t believe in imposing our perspectives, I don’t mean interfering with private lives of people. What I mean by wishing enactment of rules is enactment of ethics in the society, enactment of justice, and keeping the dignity and respect of people.

That is why I was thinking that I should talk about Imam, about his resistance and tolerance, about his firm decision making, about his proactive thinking and vision for the future. I wanted to talk about the decisions that opened up blockades that seemed like a dead-end to all else. These require long discussions that deserve more extensive time. Accordingly, I was thinking that this year, I talk about what we are facing in the country.

Participation Front Condemns Israel attacks on Gaza Flotilla

By stating its detestation from this criminal act, Islamic Iran’s Mosharekat party asks for the attention of all free thinkers, reformers, and defenders of human rights to the following matter: No one should expect a regime that is founded on belligerence and transgression to act with compassion and respect human rights. Naturally, governments and organizations who illegitimately support this cause of chios and instability in the region and leave it free to carry on such vicious acts are directly or indirectly responsible for this tragedy.

Quote of the day

Islam does not beat people. Islam does not arrest. Islam does not insult. It does not imprison or limit people. Islam is a strong advocate of a healthy and vibrant economy and an independent nation. It is our national duty to ensure that Islam is in favor of our independence and will never compromise or damage it in any manner.

We approaching the anniversary of Imam [Khomeini.] As usual we wanted to hold speeches, organize rallies and travel to the provinces. Unfortunately, last year’s election and the unseen cases fraud had series of unfortunate incidents for our country. I believe, like many others, that the mood that those events had set are going to continue and disrupt the usual ceremonies for the anniversary of departure of Imam. Of course, presence of people on that magnificent day is great and very important, but events that followed after the election has definitely left their stain on these ceremonies. For example, there were three nights of programs every year. This year, there’s only one day limited to a Friday prayer. We see that the rest of the programs are organized by … Continue Reading

In the name of God, the Merciful and the Compassionate

Zionist regime’s inhuman act of attacking the humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza caused great sorrow around the world. This behavior is caused by the Zionist regime’s inhuman and unjust nature. This regime has become so weak that it fears the smallest humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. This act will further weaken the regime and make it despisable in the international community.

I hereby condemn this action and ask the international community, human right organizations, and the security council to take a clear stance against this inhuman regime and make practical decisions in condemning and punishing it for these actions.

In the name of God, the Merciful and the Compassionate,

We are from God, and we reach towards him

The bloodcurdling criminal act of the Illegitimate Zionist regime by murdering tens of human right activists, is yet another black chapter in the wrong-doings of this usurper regime.

By stating its detestation from this criminal act, Islamic Iran’s Mosharekat party asks for the attention of all free thinkers, reformers, and defenders of human rights to the following matter: No one should expect a regime that is founded on belligerence and transgression to act with compassion and respect human rights. The president of the International Institute for the Dialogue of Cultures and Civilisations stressed that, “I am in a state of profound shock that human rights organisations and institutions like the International Criminal Court, although they are witness to the tremendous crimes of the usurper regime [the State of Israel], which crimes are the clearest of examples of crimes against humanity, are yet to act against these criminals and put them on trial.”

Proof of Islam and of the Muslims Seyyed Mohammad Khatami, during a meeting with a number of women academics and educators, while congratulating them on the eve of the birth of Holy Fatimah al-Zahra [daughter of the Prophet of Islam and wife of Imam Ali] (peace be upon her), stated that, “first of all I deem it necessary to declare on my own behalf, and on behalf of you, learned women, and on behalf of all the free women and men of Iran, my horror at the shameful calamity which took place international waters close to Gaza.”

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The brutal attack of the Zionist regime on the ships carrying food, clothing and other necessities for the oppressed people of Palestine was a disaster that shows that this regime does not abide to even the most elementary principles of humanity and ethics, and only follows the logic of force and oppression. They have attacked these ships despite being aware that they were carrying products that could only be used to save and provide the most basic necessities for a oppressed and innocent people and where donated by people who had no intentions other than humanity [charity]. … Continue Reading

Mousavi’s Interview with Kalemeh

Date: Tuesday , June 02, 2010

Kalemeh: We are approaching the anniversary of the departure of Imam [Khomeini.] This year the ceremonies seem different from previous years. On one side old opponents of Imam inside and outside the country try to desecrate his image and they are supported by foreign media. On the other side, there are those in State TV and the strong advocates of imprisonments that promote and image of the Imam that advocated oppression. What is your opinion on the goals that these groups seek? And what may this end with?

If the unintended collaboration of the State TV and opponents of Imam in desecration of his image is allowed to continue and is not responded to, it would end with nothing but hatred towards our past. These new images are introduced by constant meddling in the original perception of Imam and the revolution. Those who have directly experienced those years with Imam perceive and image of him that has no proximity to what is being promoted right now. … Continue Reading
